The Late Fran Tehan …
Mullingar Shamrocks members and executive extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Fran (Bedelia Frances) Tehan, Peacehaven, Knockdrin. In particular, sympathy is extended to Fran’s partner and great friend Pearly Tanner and to her brothers and sisters Mary, John, Paddy, Tom and Michael.
Fran was treasurer of MSCO (the organisation that manages the Community Employment Scheme) for a number of years and with Pearly as supervisor of the scheme formed a formidable combination that benefited the twelve clubs involved in the scheme and in particular Fran’s favourite, Mullingar Shamrocks. Numerous employees on the scheme benefited from the empathy, kindness and understanding of Pearly and Fran.
It is important that this is recognised at this sad time for Pearly who was forced some years ago by illness to retire from the supervisor’s role that she loved and in which she invested so much energy.
Fran enjoyed her 90th birthday on 20 March and passed away the following day at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, a place where Fran spent the best part of 40 years working as a nurse.
