The assessors adjudged that ‘The club's policies, partners, activities and environment are aligned with supporting the holistic health of your members and community’. This is the highest standard of healthy club and congratulations to our Healthy Club Officer, Joan for her continued work in promoting the ideals of the Healthy Club concept and her enthusiasm for the work. Without Joan’s contribution, this status would not be attained.
Mullingar Shamrocks is one of 44 Gold Star Healthy Clubs in the country.
Westmeath now has 11 clubs with Healthy Club status recognition and all are to be congratulated on their initiative.
Congratulations also to our neighbours, Mullingar Handball Club for their recognition as a Healthy Club, the only handball club in the country included in the list. Well done, Natasha.
