On this date FOUR years ago ...

Over 100 Mullingar Shamrocks members, friends and supporters crowded into the Clubhouse in Springfield to attend the Club Forum, definitely one of the most important meeting held in the club.

At an executive meeting held before Christmas 2016 it was decided to adopt a new approach to engaging with our members and supporters prior to the club’s Annual General Meeting.

It was decided to provide Shamrocks people with an opportunity to make a contribution to the club’s future without the necessity of attending an AGM which in many ways we felt was an outmoded concept.

Therefore the Mullingar Shamrocks Forum was arranged for 21 January 2017. The following topics related to the club’s development formed the agenda of the forum

· Mullingar Shamrock’s Vision for the future

· Ways and means of improving club administration

· Promoting our Under-Age activities in Mullingar

· Involving more people in club activities.

This meeting was structured and facilitated by Michael O'Sullivan, a man with no connection to the club and Michael reported the findings back to the club executive and since then the majority of the findings have been implemented.

We have travelled some journey since that night which set the foundation for the great shape the club is in at the moment.
